IMG_0542-2.jpg

There are some people and companies that you come across and instantly hit it off - The design sister duo Bushra and Ishwak are one of those ladies who are funny , kind and super stylish with a store who specialize in Moroccan home accesories - from tiles to blankets to suit your style - and you dont have to limit yourself to a boho style , as most of you know my own style is eclectic and i got a mile long wish list of things i need to buy from Dar Beida and i got a fireplace to tile once i change a tile cutter but on that later !
Lets be honest here - when you purchase from a small business you do not only support someones passion and dream , but you also help independent makers who create the items .
The quality of products that Dar Beida sells is just divine - as an example take a pom pom blanket ( that you be able to win ) - its soft , breathable but also got good weight to it - and every loom tells a story ! Plus it looks so darn good .
Besides quality the service you receive when ordering from Bushra and Ishwak is of high standard - they are patient in answering any questions you might have - trust me in that one haha , but also pack their items with care .
I also wanted you to find out a little bit more about the Sisters behind the company in their own words so you can hopefully see why i adore them x
Over to you ladies !

Our tip for anyone wanting to start their own business is to never give up pursue your passion because if you go with what you are passionate about you have already succeeded.

Our greatest high in our career so far has to be our first ever sale because all the blood sweat and tears we poured into starting our own business felt worthwhile it just seemed like yes we can do this!

What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?
Our greatest low has to be  trying to set up our business, we pursued various streams of business loans to help start our business after being rejected and being told our business would struggle we made the decision to use money that we had which was very little and follow our passion regardless. We learnt that you don’t always need mega bucks start small and it will grow.

We are inspired by so many designers from mid century architects to all the amazing Artisans that we are fortunate to meet on our trips to Morocco.

Without a doubt the Berber people of Morocco they are inspired by their thoughts and feelings which make there designs totally organic.

Small spaces are great as you can really go to town with the decor wallpapering every inch of wall can make a really big impact.

Our spare time is spent with family we love to travel and just this summer we took a road trip  (2 cars by the way with 7 kids and 2 hubbys would be a bit crammed) through Europe all the way to Morocco which created some great memories.

Do you put limitations on the work in terms of brave and bold or is there no fucks given?
There should never be limitations on what you like if you love it own it.
