Summer Edit - ad a holiday vibe to your garden

Lets be honest here - we are not all fortunate to live in Bali ;) so whenever you got a small garden , big one shady or sunny - it does not matter what kind of garden you have , or what type of gardener you are -you can create your own sanctuary wherever you live or what gardening skill you have i for one know nothing about plants , and i just plant and hope for the best , plus i rent - so everything pretty much is removable here if i decide to move which i am not planning anytime soon …. unless i win in Lotto .
I believe that our gardens or outdoor spaces however big or small it is - should be treated as another room - extension of our home - a place to relax , unwind from the chaos of a daily life - unless you got Chaos living at home with you like i do - then there is no hope for us and we are all doomed - but we can be doomed stylishly.
I have prepared a few key pieces - call it a moldboard if you wish ( even tho i never made a mood board before) from products available at maisons du monde - who was kind enough to gift me a few products so i can mix in with the things i got already - what they do not know yet ( sorry team) that i want to go a step further and make more looks not just one look - hence the mood board ish - that are guaranteed to work with pieces and accessories you got at home . So lets roll!

Creating a relaxed feel in our garden was my main priority -

1 DINING

Ii is safe to say that bohemian trend is still going strong -and no surprise here - it gives me an instant “holiday far far away from wet Wales feeling” - with natural and earthy tones you could spice it up with a splash of colour - plenty of candles and pattern - choosing pieces that have a artisanal look and feel about them - and maisons du monde have a really huge selection of bohemian inspired pieces - i struggled narrowing it down to just a few key pieces . I really love the Bréhat dining table and 2 benches set that comes in natural and white ,it looks solid and well made , i also picked my favourite Manille bamboo lantern (that are on sale atm ) - and i use those all over my garden - to make them a bit more waterproof you could spray them with a car lacquer - there is a glass inside to put candle in - but i am fan of using battery operated candles (especially with dogs and kids) , i have my eye up on this set of 2 Cement Planters with Ethnic Motifs Astrid (they are also on sale) - i think those would look fantastic inside and out - i wold most likely use those for planting herbs. There is nothing better than rattan - i am obsessed with it and this gorge Round Openwork Woven Rattan Tray ticks all the boxes for me, you could as well pop a few Mango Wood and Glass Lantern Delhi on the tray along with few salvaged objects - and for added pop of green why not use Artificial Mini Palm in White Pot (it would look amazing in the cement planters) as i am partial to cacti and kind of dissapointed we can’t just grow those naturally outside - check this whooper of a Colorado cactus - i would also use Moana 2 Bamboo and Rattan Leaf Trinket Bowls - for displaying candles on the dining table and fruit - they are quite good size , and would make a great wall art as well. The Black and White Earthenware Dessert Plate with Print Eva - is also on my to buy list.

For those of you who like more streamlined look - Then Scandinavian/ Nordic inspired dining edit is for you - with shades of grey, few raw natural pieces and a pop of Navy to lift the scheme- creates effortless and chic look, this stunning 8-10 Seater Cement Garden Table W220 - adds a perfect touch - you cant go wrong with cement and wood combo really - i would mix both of the lima chairs in black (on sale atm) and white , and on the end of the table i would pop 2 EROS concrete outdoor stools (btw -they would be also ideal as side tables - double duty baby!) , i am also partial to baskets - i mean they are literally great for anything ! from storage to planter covers and this Woven Seagrass Basket is one of my favorites for simplicity and texture for an architectural touch this Outdoor Plastic Artificial Plant Alhambra ( on sale atm) would look amazing in the basket . Asian earthenware collection in blue - caught my eye for their “ imperfect look” and the set would look perfect against concrete tabletop - Round Openwork Navy Blue Metal Tray with Floral Motif Kamao - would also work well when entertaining as well as serving a candle dish - if you use white simple pillar candles that vary in height .

Bland and boring industrial? nope - this edit has some of my colours and wackiness thrown in - i mean have you seen this White Outdoor Floor Lamp H138 Lodge? - its literally the coolest thing ever ! and would light up any party - plus it would be a talking point (nothing better than starting conversation about lamps ) For this Edit i picked Aquitaine8/10-seater imitation concrete garden table( on sale atm) mixed with some classic Black Metal Industrial Style Garden Chair Multipl's, Metal chair in black Orsay- i adore those as they look quite cool and “airy” thanks to their wire work design and for a pop of colour i love those Mustard Yellow Metal Industrial Chair Multipl's and when you need extra seating for the guests Black Rope and Black Metal Stool Denpasar -are especially handy. To decorate the table you could group a few Green Tinted Flat Glass Vases - they would look just fantastic with mix of both Green Earthenware Dinner Plates”Tokyo” and Valence yellow stoneware plates , don’t forget a Antique-Effect Printed Mango Wood Tray Farmer Market to carry all the drinks , and as a pop of greenery if you don’t have green fingers - this artificial palm tree H 220 cm Oasis will provide all year interest to your outdoor dining space

2 RELAXING

Like with dining edit this relaxing bohemian modern edit was a huge struggle ! - there are just to many amazing pieces that would rock here - and maisons du monde have a lot to answer for my struggle to pick few things - i mean how can you when there are 100’s of things that are a must have-we are going to need a bigger mood board ;) . I think we all need a place to relax - and go overboard with cushions in - for this edit i picked more natural tones, and if you fancy a change all you need to to is throw a pop of colour here - as the base is good - think pattern and texture . Resin Wicker Hanging Garden Armchair would be my ultimate relaxing chair - i could see myself lounging there for hours reading my favorite book , but in reality i would most likely fight with rest of the family & dogs over the space in this hanging chair . So you would probably find me on either 3-Seater Teak and White Canvas Garden Sofa Crusoé or their gorge Crusoé Chair - as the sofa would most likely end up being covered by cushions and blankets, while we are on the subject of cushions- Outdoor Cushion with Black Graphic Motifs 50x50 ,Outdoor Cushion with Graphic Motifs 40x60 ,Ecru Outdoor Cushion with Black Rhinoceros Print 45x45 Sundara, Outdoor Cushion with Red Graphic Motifs 30x50 as well as Woven Raffia Cushion 45x45 - make a match made in heaven . And have you seen the detail on this stunning Concrete-Effect Round Coffee Table with White Motifs Praia ( ON SALE ) - the finish is just beautiful. If you have a gazebo or a pergola hang few of those rattan pendant D70 Havana to finish the look . And when night falls all you need is a chunky Grey Taupe Knitted Throw 130x170 and light up a metal fire pit in black H 62cm Sahraoui - and grab a glass of red and you are ready to spend a relaxing evening with your other half

Can greys be relaxing ? of course they can - and this Scandinavian/ Nordic inspired palette looks amazing among greenery and plants . Solid Acacia and Anthracite Grey Canvas 4/6-Seater Garden Sofa Porto Rico is the perfect example of style and function , and its big enough for a whole family to enjoy . you could pop a White Outdoor Rug with Black Graphic Print 160x230 Zaria to define the relaxing space a bit more plus its the quickest way to introduce some pattern. You could also ad both the Garden Cushion with Black and White Geometric Motifs 45x45 Nahira and a super soft Grey Woven Throw 130x160 Cocon adds texture - i believe that every space needs some colour, texture and pattern -and those 3 will create an interest and at the same time make the area feel relaxed and calming . you could also plant some greenery around - and the sleek 2 grooved black garden pots H64 Kampala set are just so fab - i got those in my own garden and both the faux and real plants look great planted in them . I dont think we can grow banana trees outside in Britain (please correct me if i am wrong , as i am really bad at gardening knowledge) This beauty of a Potted Artificial Banana Tree Cilaos - will never die on you and always look green even in winter. In the evening you can create cozy atmosphere by lightning those 2 Black Wire Candle Holders Dakar and Black Metal and Glass Lantern Tyler -they will be perfect for outdoor entertaining too. Dont forget adding this Rust-Effect Metal Brazier Hampton (on sale) to your outdoor space

Natural wood , metal and burnt orange/ rust - is a no fail combination for an effortless laid back look - throw in a pop of black and i am moving in ! i so would love to have this stunning 3-4 Seater Recycled Solid Teak and Black Canvas Garden Sofa Agana complete with matching Black Metal and Recycled Solid Teak Garden Coffee Table Agana- it reminds me of an indoor sofa i saw few years back and fallen in love with so this outdoor number is my number one choice ! its sleek and industrial at the same time . Maisons du monde have also have the perfect light set Industrial-Style Black Metal Outdoor Garland Cavaillon- i just love this take on a traditional festoon lights that seem to be everywhere right now- this one stands out from the crowd ! you could even add an extra easy chair like this Garden armchair in black resin wicker with white cushions Cuzco or better-go for an orange Canvas and Metal Folding Deckchair Split- to add a pop of colour, and to tie in the pieces add few cushions like this lovely Outdoor Cushion in Ecru Cotton with Black Fish Print 30x50 Dorade and my absolute favorite Orange Fringed Leather Pouffe cushion ( not sure why its called pouffe but its a cushion and its fringed- win win) & finish with a simple Orange Throw 150x200 - i would keep accessories to a bare minimum - i love the wooden crate that can serve not only to hold blankets / drinks / plants but also as an extra foot stool - check this vintage inspired wooden crate 32 x 60cm Marcel - that looks like the real deal! on the coffee table you can put this Artificial Fern in Cement Pot along with few candles and right next to the sofa this oversized xxl Brown Metal Globe Garden Accessory H 78 cm Rusty - and you are ready to rock and roll!

And finally my own Garden Edit -i kept colour palette to a bare minimum with mostly black walls and furniture mixed with greenery and natural wood and rattan pieces with a tiny bit of burnt orange - the pieces used here are large Kabane which is a resin wicker chair with an ecru cushion -not pictured as my dog was on it ;) Manille bamboo lanterns which are actually quite big and on sale ;) Leaf Woven Bamboo Wall Art in 2 sizes plus a tall Zanzibar bamboo and cord lantern . in the dining area besides the lanterns you can spot 2 ( on you can see 1 but there are 2 ) Beckett chairs ( they are very comfy btw ) you can also see the Kampala planters that i also used in a scandi/ nordic relaxing area edit , and that huge oversized decoration is called Blandine - i am obsessed with it !
